Description

The Stage6 Sport Pro MK2 70cc is an improved and completely redesigned version of the very popular Sport Pro cylinder kit. The new generation brings a more advanced port design, improved cooling, and a more powerful piston, resulting in significantly higher power and stable operation even at higher RPM.

The cylinder is designed for scooters with Piaggio AC (air-cooled) engines, such as Piaggio Typhoon / TPH and Gilera Stalker. Compared to the first-generation MK1, the MK2 features a completely new design with six transfer ports (instead of five), allowing better cylinder filling and consequently more power. The exhaust port retains its oval shape but has been further optimized for improved gas flow.

A distinctive feature of the cylinder is its characteristic pentagonal shape, inspired by the Stage6 R/T racing series. The one-piece cylinder head includes additional cooling channels that improve heat dissipation and stability under high loads.

The piston is a replica of the racing R/T piston with a domed crown and a 0.8 mm piston ring, improving performance, responsiveness, and thermal stability.

The cylinder can produce between 14 and 17 HP, which is approximately 2–3 HP more than the previous MK1 generation. With the right combination of components, it offers an excellent balance between performance and durability and sets new standards in the scooter tuning world.

For optimal performance, we recommend using a reinforced crankshaft, a carburetor of at least 19 mm, and a sport or racing exhaust.

Installation recommendations:
Before installation, we recommend cleaning the engine, checking all components, and using a new spark plug and piston needle bearing. After installation, carburetor adjustment is often required.

Recommended squish clearance is between 0.75 and 0.85 mm. The cylinder should be broken in for approximately 300 km using a 1:33 mixture for longer lifespan.

The original exhaust is not compatible with this cylinder.
