Electronic rev limiter GY6 139QMA / 139QMB 4T – Euro 1 / Euro 2 / Euro 3

Electronic engine rev limiter is intended for 4-stroke scooters with GY6 139QMA / 139QMB engines and similar versions meeting Euro 1, Euro 2 and Euro 3 emission standards.

The limiter operates via the pick-up sensor signal and allows adjustment of the maximum engine rpm. Using the adjustment screw on the module, you can set the rpm range at which the limiter begins to intervene in the ignition operation.

The integrated switch allows the limitation to be switched on and off. When the limiter is switched off, the engine operates without the set limitation.

Important – compatibility

The limiter is suitable only for versions where the pick-up sensor has 1 signal wire. (NOT SUITABLE FOR E4, E5 models) or models with 2 wires on the pick-up sensor.

Before ordering, always check the vehicle’s electrical wiring or pick-up sensor. Compatibility is not guaranteed with other ignition versions or a different number of wires on the pick-up sensor.

Installation and adjustment

The red EXT wire is connected to the signal wire running from the pick-up sensor to the CDI or ignition module. The green wire is connected to the vehicle ground.

After installation, the desired maximum engine rpm is adjusted using the regulation screw. We recommend gradual adjustment and testing of operation.

Note

The product limits engine rpm, therefore the actual top speed of the vehicle is not fixed and also depends on the transmission, variator, wheel size and other vehicle components.

According to the manufacturer’s instructions, the device is intended for sport use on closed areas.
