Description

TECNO Off Road EVO is a sport exhaust system designed for Tomos mopeds with A3 and A35 50cc 2T engines. It differs from classic stock and low-mounted sport exhausts primarily by its distinctive high-mounted Off Road design, which gives the moped a pronounced sporty and modified appearance.

The exhaust uses a classic resonance or expansion chamber for a 2-stroke engine, designed to improve the efficiency of exhaust gases and allow better engine performance in the RPM range for which the exhaust is designed. This makes it suitable for both restored Tomos mopeds and various Sport and tuning configurations.

The exhaust system is made in a light lacquered finish and ends with a separate aluminum end silencer.

Distinctive Off Road EVO design

TECNO Off Road EVO is visually quite different from conventional Tomos exhausts. The expansion section is routed upwards alongside the engine, after which the exhaust continues towards the separate end silencer.

This design gives the Tomos a distinctive Off Road / Racing appearance and is particularly interesting for modifications of A3 and A35 models, where in addition to improved performance, a more distinctive appearance of the moped is desired.

Performance on a 2T engine

Compared to a classic stock exhaust, the TECNO Off Road EVO is designed for sportier operation of the 2-stroke engine. The expansion chamber allows better utilization of exhaust gas pulses, but the actual result always depends on the complete engine configuration.

Performance is mainly influenced by:

• cylinder displacement and design,
• carburetor size and adjustment,
• ignition,
• intake system,
• gear ratio,
• general condition of the engine.

The exhaust itself therefore does not guarantee a specific top speed or increase in power.

Adjustment after installation

After installing the sport exhaust, we recommend checking the carburetor adjustment, especially the main jet size and the correct fuel-to-air ratio.

On a 2-stroke engine, this is particularly important, as after installing a more open exhaust the engine may require a different carburetor adjustment.

A mixture that is too lean can cause excessive operating temperature, overheating and consequently damage to the cylinder or piston.

On modified engines, it is recommended to properly match the exhaust with the cylinder, carburetor, ignition and gear ratio.

Important before installation

Due to the high-mounted design, on modified mopeds we recommend checking the available space around the frame, rear suspension and other components before final installation.

After installation, also check all mounting points and sealing at the cylinder exhaust connection. After the first rides, it is recommended to check the tightness of the mounting hardware again.
