Description

The Malossi Digitronic CDI is a high-performance solution for water-cooled 2-stroke Piaggio engines with a displacement of 125–180 cc. It is designed for advanced users and modified engines where precise and powerful ignition control is required.

Unlike the stock CDI unit with a fixed ignition curve, the Digitronic uses a variable ignition curve that adapts to engine RPM. This enables more efficient combustion, improved engine response, and significantly more torque in the low and mid RPM ranges.

The CDI unit removes the factory RPM limit and allows engine operation up to 20,000 RPM, making it ideal for tuning projects, especially in combination with the Malossi 172 cc cylinder.

With high ignition voltage between 35,000 and 50,000 V, it provides a strong and stable spark, improving acceleration, high-RPM performance, and reliable cold starts.

Installation is Plug & Play and suitable for vehicles without an immobilizer, as the unit directly replaces the original CDI/ignition coil.
