Malossi Double Red Sponge air filter – Piaggio Zip SP

Description

Malossi Double Red Sponge is a high-performance foam air filter designed for installation in the original air filter housing (airbox) on Piaggio scooters. It represents an excellent upgrade over the stock filter, as it allows greater airflow while maintaining low noise levels and better protection against water, dust and dirt compared to open sport filters.

The filter consists of two layers of foam – red and black. The first layer traps larger impurities, while the second layer with a microcell structure captures fine dust particles that are most harmful to the carburetor and engine. This design ensures excellent filtration, greater reliability and a longer engine lifespan.

After installation, adjustment of the main carburetor jet is required. We recommend increasing the jet size by at least 3 sizes to ensure the correct air-fuel mixture.
