The Venturi is named after the Italian scientist Giovanni Venturi, who discovered the law that describes the change in the velocity of a fluid or gas as it passes through a constricted part of a pipe. When the gas or fluid passes through the narrowed section, the speed increases while the pressure decreases. This principle is used in many applications, including carburetors, where it is crucial for optimizing the airflow and fuel delivery to the engine.

The Venturi cone, as offered by the manufacturer Sil-tech, is an improvement over the standard cylindrical Venturi channels found in the Dellorto SHA carburetor series. The cylindrical Venturi channel causes more turbulence, which can reduce airflow efficiency. Sil-tech’s cone is designed to reduce this turbulence by creating a smoother and more directed airflow into the engine. This improves air intake, contributing to higher engine performance, especially across a wider range of RPMs.

Sil-tech’s Venturi is designed using advanced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations, which allows for the optimization of the cone profile for specific applications. This ensures that engine systems receive better airflow, contributing to greater efficiency and better performance.

The use of Sintran NYLON PA12 material provides high chemical resistance to fuels and oils, excellent mechanical strength, and temperature resistance, which is crucial for long service life and reliability under demanding conditions.
