Crankshaft bearing set Naraku SKF / FKM Premium C4 polyamide – Minarelli AM6

Quality crankshaft bearing set Naraku Premium is intended for mopeds and motorcycles with a Minarelli AM6 engine. The kit contains two quality SKF C4 bearings with a polyamide cage and two FKM crankshaft oil seals.

The polyamide cage has greater elasticity and lower inherent friction than a conventional metal version, therefore the bearings operate more freely and at a lower temperature. Due to their properties, they are primarily suitable for sport and tuning configurations where reducing friction is important.

FKM / FPM / Viton®

The designations FPM, FKM and Viton® refer to the same basic type of material – fluoroelastomer or fluororubber.

• FKM is the designation for fluoroelastomers according to the American ASTM standard
• Viton® is a trademark of DuPont Performance Elastomers
• Naraku products use the designation FKM for fluororubber

FKM oil seals have good resistance to temperatures, fuels, oils and other chemical influences.

Important during installation

When replacing the crankshaft, always install new bearings and oil seals.

The bearings must be installed so that the semi-open side of the bearing faces the crankshaft.

The polyamide cage must not be continuously exposed to temperatures above 120 °C, therefore this bearing version is not recommended for engines with a catalytic converter.

Note

Bearings with a polyamide cage are suitable for higher-performance configurations due to reduced friction, but at the same time they are more sensitive to an incorrectly tuned engine and excessively high operating temperatures. Correct adjustment of the entire engine is therefore important during installation.
