Description

Sport HPI 2-Ten ignition with internal rotor and 40W lighting coil is intended for Piaggio / Gilera 125–180cc 2T engines. Unlike conventional Racing ignitions, it also provides power for lighting, making it suitable for sport modifications where you want to retain functioning lights.

The HPI system provides a stable ignition pulse even at very high rpm – the manufacturer specifies operation up to 20,000 rpm. The kit includes a microprocessor-controlled CDI with one programmed ignition curve.

Important

The specification that the ignition operates up to 20,000 rpm does not mean that the engine must or will reach 20,000 rpm. Actual engine speed depends on the cylinder, exhaust, carburettor, crankshaft and complete engine configuration.

After installation, the ignition must be correctly adjusted according to the manufacturer’s instructions, as proper ignition timing adjustment is essential for correct and reliable engine operation.
