With the new X-Treme Racing crankshaft, the Spanish brand provider AIRSAL is entering the high quality league in the field of crankshafts. Absolutely suitable racing crankshaft on the level of Malossi MHR-RHQ, Metrakit Pro Race or the Polini Evolution crankshaft. As the name suggests, this shaft is designed for extreme loads. For example Airsal X-Treme 77ccm, Malossi MHRTeam, Polini Evolution, Hebo Manston Stage6 Racing etc. The shaft has the standard stroke of 39.3mm for Piaggio engines.
The completely forged shaft is made from high-alloy 18NiCrMo5 steel and hardened using a special heat process. The full cheek design enables higher pre-compression and thus ensures better cylinder filling. When manufacturing the connecting rod, special attention was also paid to the load capacity. The connecting rod is completely forged and surface polished to strengthen the structure. It is subjected to the same hardening process as the crankshaft, guaranteeing absolutely low wear in the bearing area. The silver needle bearings ensure excellent storage and are stable at speeds up to over 16,000 rpm. A perfect, dynamically balanced crankshaft for the heaviest loads and optimal performance in high-end engines.
